Along with working in the industrial sector, Monarch also installs its resin flooring systems within domestic garages. Using resin flooring in a garage is a great way to ensure a hard-wearing surface. As well as having a tough floor, the resin also comes in decorative forms. This can be as a ‘flake finish’ resin floor or as a seamless resin. In this case, the resin floor which was installed was a seamless epoxy resin. Monarch mainly works within the industrial and automotive sectors across the UK. However, we do also install our resin flooring systems in domestic garages near to our base offices. These are areas in and around South Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Lancashire only.
In this instance, we were asked specifically for a seamless epoxy resin floor in RAL colour 1004 ‘golden yellow’. As you might have seen from the Monarch colour chart, there a range of colours which we usually install resin floors in. However, we can have colours manufactured when a client is looking for a particular colour for their floor. In this case, the client had a look online at the RAL colour chart, which is what a lot of manufacturers use. They found their ideal colour and we were able to get it manufactured specifically for them. Although we can not always get the exact colour, we will always try to best match what clients are looking for.
Before the floor was installed we prepared it to make sure it was a flat, keyed surface. You can find out more about floor preparation here. We next installed a two coat system epoxy resin product called Monarflow in the specified colour.
Monarflow is a durable resin that is also used within the industrial sector. It is a very hard-wearing epoxy resin and can withstand vehicle traffic as well as traffic from forklifts. It is also a self-levelling epoxy resin, this means that it helps to even out a surface that is otherwise uneven. Monarflow is just one of the many systems which Monarch install. If you have a floor that does not need levelling as such, a product such as Monarcoat 720 may be more suited. If you have any questions about your flooring project we are happy to help. At this time, Monarch only installs garage flooring in and around the Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, Leicestershire and Lancashire areas. Including Dronfield, Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Bakewell, Chesterfield and the Greater Manchester areas. This is due to garages being a smaller scale project, so we keep them close to our main offices. If however, you are interested in an installation on a larger scale, we cover the UK and are leaders in industrial installations of resin flooring.
