Monarch Resin Floors have recently completed a series of Sidec stone resin carpet installations for a well-known car brand showrooms across the UK. These projects were delivered for a long-standing client and focused on creating high quality, showroom ready finishes that enhance vehicle displays and customer areas.
The work included installations in Perth, Tonbridge Wells, Bristol, and Norwich with projects already lined up for 2026. While each site had its own requirements, the processes were carried out carefully throughout to ensure consistent results.
Scope of Work
- Mechanical Preparation and Substrate Keying
First, we mechanically prepared each concrete or screeded floor. This removed surface contaminants and created a clean, textured key. As a result, the new flooring systems achieved strong and reliable adhesion.
- Priming and Level Adjustment
Next, the prepared surfaces were fully primed to stabilise the substrate.
After this, we installed a nominal 10–12mm pumped floor to raise the levels and create a smooth, even base. This step was essential because it allowed the finished stone carpet to sit flush with surrounding tiles and existing finishes.
In addition, careful level control helped achieve crisp edges around feature podiums and display zones.
- Sidec Stone Carpet Installation
Once the pumped floor had cured, we applied the Sidec stone carpet system. The material was trowel applied at a nominal 4–5mm thickness to achieve a consistent finish.
Throughout the installation, extra care was taken to work neatly around floor boxes and service points. Consequently, the finished floors maintained a clean and seamless appearance across all areas.
