Monarch Resin Floors recently completed an approximately 1100m² industrial flooring installation in Sheffield for a valued repeat client. The project involved the installation of a durable epoxy resin floor using the Pumashield SF system in Mid Grey. The system was supplied by Resdev.
The client needed a hard-wearing, seamless floor suitable for ongoing industrial use. They also wanted a clean and professional finish that would stand up to daily wear. SCOPE OF WORK
Surface Preparation
Our team mechanically prepared the existing floor and removed all old coatings back to the concrete slab. This process created a clean, paint-free, and fully keyed surface. Proper preparation ensured strong adhesion and long-term performance.
Joint Repairs
We repaired damaged joints using resin bulk material. We left these areas ready for reinstatement at the final stage. This approach maintained structural integrity and delivered a neat finish.
Resin Application
After completing preparation and repairs, our team applied two coats of Pumashield SF in Mid Grey. The system created a smooth, seamless, and durable surface with a uniform finish. Its low-viscosity formulation supported a clean, consistent application across the full area.
Joint Reinstatement
Our team re-cut all joints through the finished floor. We then applied a flexible polyurethane sealant in a concrete grey colour. This allows the slab to move naturally while maintaining a consistent appearance.
THE RESULT
The completed floor now provides a robust and easy-to-maintain surface. It meets the demands of a busy industrial setting. The new finish delivers excellent durability, strong long-term performance, and a flawless, professional appearance.
